Frequently Asked Questions

Can we choose our own caterers and vendors, or do we have to use your preferred list?

While we have a list of preferred vendors we know and trust, you are welcome to select any caterer or vendor of your choice. If you choose a vendor not on our list, please ensure they carry the required $2 million liability insurance and hold relevant certifications (SafeServe for food and RAMP for bartending).

Are linen tablecloths available for rent?

We do have plain white linens for round tables and some for our rectangular tables. Please ask about the use of these.

Is event insurance required when renting The Manor at Saw Mill?

Yes, you must provide proof of insurance naming The Manor on Saw Mill and Rob and Jennifer Wright as additional insured parties as part of the rental agreement. This event-day policy typically costs between $180-250 depending on whom you purchase it.

How can I schedule a tour of the venue?

Absolutely! Click here to schedule at the tour.

Or call or email Jennifer at 717-620-9569; jennifer@themanoronsawmill.com

What are your venue rental prices, and what's included in the package?
What is the maximum capacity for events at The Manor on Saw Mill?

The barn can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests. The farmhouse can comfortably sleep eight overnight guests and host small events for up to 20 people. For larger events on the farmhouse grounds (such as the back patio and yard area), please contact us to discuss arrangements.

Are there nearby accommodations and attractions for out-of-town guests?

Several hotels are within a 12-15 minute drive from our venue. We can assist you with finding the right fit for your out-of-town guests. Nearby attractions include Roundtop Mountain, Messiah College, Pinchot State Park, and various Central PA attractions for hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, shopping, wining, and dining. Hershey Park is a 35-minute drive away.

Can alcohol be served at the venue?

Yes, clients may provide alcohol, provided the bartender is PA-licensed and RAMP-certified. The Manor on Saw Mill does not possess a liquor license, so alcohol cannot be bought or sold on-site (no cash bars allowed).

Is a day-of coordinator required for weddings?

No, but it is highly recommended. If you don’t have your own day-of coordinator, we can provide one for you as an add-on service. We provide you with a venue host that serves as a “go-to” person throughout your rental. The host assists with answering questions from your vendors, directing guests, and responding to other venue-related needs. A wedding coordinator or “day-of- coordinator” typically assists with pre-planning and is on site for the rehearsal and wedding day. He/she may also attend to similar issues as a venue host.

Is on-site catering available?

While we provide a catering prep space, all food preparation must take place off-site.

Are candles permitted at the venue?

Battery-operated candles are allowed inside the barn. No open flames.

When can we access the property for setup and preparation? Can we drop items off the night before?

Access to the property (barn and farmhouse) depends on the package you select. To view our available packages, please click here.

Is the venue climate-controlled?

While the barn currently does not have heating or air conditioning, the farmhouse is equipped with central air and heat.

Are we allowed to take photos on the property?

If you have booked an event at The Manor on Saw Mill, you are welcome to take photos on-site during your contracted time. For those who do not have an event scheduled with us, we offer a separate photo site fee. Please contact us for additional details.

Does The Manor on Saw Mill offer handicap accessibility?

The first level of the barn, including restrooms, is ADA-compliant, and the ceremony site can be accessed by individuals with mobility challenges. We also provide a golf cart on-site to assist with transportation for those who need it. However, please note that the Farmhouse is not currently handicapped accessible.

What is the number and location of restrooms available on-site?

We provide two spacious restrooms inside the barn for the convenience of all guests and vendors. Additionally, the Farmhouse has 2.5 bathrooms; however, these facilities are reserved exclusively for guests staying in the farmhouse.
